Praveen Srivatsa is the Founder and Director of AsthraSoft. He has over 14 years of experience in the software industry and has worked at Oracle Financial (CITIL), Aditi Technologies and Orbit-e Consulting. Microsoft has recognized him as the MSDN Regional Director for Bangalore, India. In addition, he has also been nominated the Most Valued Professional (MVP) from Microsoft since 2006 for his contribution. He is a well know industry speaker and has delivered sessions for iNETA, PASS and at various Microsoft events like DevDays and TechED in India and abroad. 

Vinu Thomas has been working with PHP for the past 7 years of his career. He started with PHP when OO programming was in it's infancy in PHP 4.0. He loves PHP because it promotes the ideology of the "Lazy programmer", since built-in functionalities in PHP does a of the work for a developer. But a Lazy programmer need not be a slack programmer as well.  He also is an expert on secure programming on the LAMP stack on PHP and has had talks on this subject in events.

He's currently working with Impelsys as a Technical Architect where he architects high availability web applications using PHP, Java and Cloud based solutions. Since his work involves various technologies, he ensures that the solutions he creates works and interoperates with various systems and platforms.  A few years back when he found the lack of a PHP community in Bangalore, he started the Bangalore PHP group on Yahoo groups where PHP users in Bangalore could discuss the various problems they were facing and get solutions from others in the community.
